
Wild Horse Press was founded in 2006 by Billy and Ronna Huckaby. Their goal was and remains today to publish books that will help preserve the history of rodeo and the West. They specialize in books that have previously been out-of-print, as well as new titles. In addition to rodeo titles, Wild Horse Press also publishes books that focus on the Old West or the Cowboy Lifestyle.
Billy got involved in rodeo at the age of 15 and rode bareback horses and bulls for 15 years. He attended Texas Tech University where he competed in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association and earned a degree in Ag Communications. He has been involved in an a variety of business ventures including newspaper and magazine publishing. Wild Horse Press is part of Wild Horse Media Group which includes Wild Horse Press, Eakin Press, NorTex Press and Cowboy Bookworm. Billy remains active in rodeo as a rodeo announcer, announcing approximately 90 rodeo performances a year.
Ronna is a licensed professional counselor and the vice president of a large non-profit.She is also a published author and has written about her experience as an adopted child and her search for her birth parents, in Somewhere Out There.
